Team Rebuilding Gets Under Way

Written by Magpie at 10:57 27/4-2015

The Uyuni GP was an important race for team magpie, it was our first race after dropping down to division 10, Team Captain Gaius Barcauan came second after a strong performance from the whole team. The points were enough to move us up to division 9. Perhaps most importantly though, it was Lourens Heersprink last professional race. With everything in line, Heersprink has immediately taken up a role as a trainer for the team. As well as hiring Heersprink, team management had to decide between hiring a rider to replace him and hiring other staff. We chose to hire two doctors, as the team previously had none. We made this decision in order to provide a strong base of support from which the team can develop in the future. Our next step is to hire a Mechanic or two. We should make the most of our time in these lower divisions, the money should come in a little easier for a while, allowing as to hire and improve staff, and then train riders.
